Gutten Tag from Rome!

We hit the ground running when we finally got into Rome. With 19 centuries worth of history and architecture, culture and art, there was SO much to see in just a short period of time.  753 BC was when Rome was founded. Fun fact: you can trace Rome's foundation back to Troy!

The group started off their day visiting and touring the Coluseeum. More on that later from Frau Pittman.

The Layne family and I met up with the rest of the group in time to tour the Vatican and St. Peter's Basilica. Such beauty! What a house of God!

Our Vatican guide, Fradora, was full of information and lovely personality. We walked through the Vacitan, The Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter's Basilica. Such high ceilings, breathtaking sculptures, and art that continues to show how God's Spirit flows to is and pours out for the benefit of our neighbors.

We got back to the hotel for a pork dinner around 7p and played a round of Get to Know You Bingo with Pastor Aaron.  Afterwards it was time for some Gelato  and much needed rest!
