Leaving on a jet plane...sort of

What a morning!
We all arrived at our predetermined time of 9:30am at John Glenn International Airport. We started to check in and all of a sudden...our flight together was cancelled due to our plane being too small for the weather at JFK.

For the next 2.5 hours I was at the Delta ticket counter and on the phone with Nawas to get it all worked out. The result was far from perfect, but it'll get us to Rome.

Long story short our group of 22 was broken into packs of 4, 8, and 10. Pack 4 leaves today for Atlanta to JFK to Rome. Pack 8 leaves today for Boston to JFK to Rome. Pack 10 leaves tomorrow for Atlanta to Rome. With a little bit of shuffling we will all be in Rome by 6/21 at 8am. No one will miss any of the tour. Just some of the rest from the long travel day.

:::::::::::UPDATE::::::::::::
We are in Atlanta and delayed JFK until 6:30 with no certainty it will depart then. Had to reschedule Rome flight departing 10:05p

:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

I want to thank Nawas and Allison at the Delta ticket counter for all of their hard work to help as much as they could. I also thank our group for all of their patience and understanding. It's nobody's fault, but it is unfortunate. Everyone's attitude was so great. It is my hope that this will be the only bump in the road, so to speak!
